Ofsted Inspection
Lead Inspector Michael Burghart has asked that I pass on a thank you to all children for the lovely welcome the team received during the inspection. At this stage I am not able to share the outcomes of the inspection as we need to await the inspection report. The final report should arrive within three weeks and a copy will be available for parents. The Ofsted team will also write to children to inform them about how their school is doing. At this stage all I can say is a huge thank you to the staff, children and governors.
Hockey TournamentA group of children went off to Whitstone School in Shepton Mallet on Wednesday afternoon to take part in the King Arthur’s School Primary Cluster Hockey Tournament Final. The children were very successful and won the cup! They beat teams from the Whitstone, Sexeys and Ansford school areas. A massive achievement! Well done to: Andrew Butt, Jack Griffin, Martin Ashford, Jordan Skirton, Chloe Torode, Danielle Crabb and Samantha Stocker-Harding. A big thank you to Mrs Ashford and Mrs Butt who very kindly transported and supported the children.
Unwanted Cuddly Toys We have been approached by the Rotary Club of Somerset Levels requesting donations of any unwanted cuddly toys to send to Romanian orphanages. They are also going to run a “Teddy Stall” in Somerton during the summer to raise money for the Children’s Hospice South West. Any unwanted “cuddlies” would be greatly received and should be taken to Miss Golton’s classroom. Thank you.
