I really enjoyed camp it was really cool,chocolate cake stops are my favorite and I was watching the disco and it was very exciting and I just can't wait to work at King Arthurs. I fondly remember WCP from when I was a student there with Mr. Marlborough in 1978 - Truly the happiest days of my school life were spent there and have many fond memories. I'll look forward to when you have some more photos on the site.To the current students: You've got a great school - Be Proud!

I too used to go to wincanton primary school and it was such fun I enjoyed every minute. I now go to KA and it is the same really the teachers are nice. I remember feeling so scared when i had to leave primary school but i really like it up KA so dont be scared!!!!!!!!

Web master: Not sure which Laura this is, but ka is short for King Arthur's School.

We have just been bag packing down morrisons and it was really busy and i think we raised A LOT of money doing it

So far i've had a good year.I have tried not to talk in lessons and it has paid off.Me and my friends are having a great year.We haven't had many fall outs.My brother is so annoying.I Can't wait to go to camp and bowling also Frankies and Benies.It will also be cool up KA.All of the teachers are really funny,when I go up KA I will miss everybody.BYExxxxxxxxxxxx

It is great to be in year 6. Me and Mrs Martin always joke a round.In Wincanton Primary School it is really fun because we do loads of clubs eg: computer club , chess club and loads more. I love my class they are really friendly.So once again it is really fun and also thank you for making it a safe and happy place.

I left Wincanton in 1954 to go to Yeovil. I was 9 and must have been in what today is called year 6. The Headmaster was Mr. Burt. He beat me because I was too slow to answer that 8 9 s are 72. I never forget again. A Welsh teacher was a great friend of my Dad - (Lewis?). The only teachers that I remember by name are Miss Pike and Miss Ladd who ran the "infants" classes. Between them they taught us (before we were 7) to add and subtract; to read and write and to buy, sell and do calculations in pounds, shillings and pence. We cried when the King died. We cheered when the soldiers passed the school coming home from Korea. South Street and High Street were still the main road in 1951. A friend of mine was killed outside the school. I remember Bridget Bower, Avril Ford, Pauline Crocker, John Parsons, Bill Edwards, Kevin Walsh, a girl called Fox and another called Lorainne.

Camp sounds awesome I'm definatly going!!!!!

year six camp was the best. Our room didnt go to bed until 10:50 and it was really cool i miss lots of the people that was instructing us and that was JO and she was the best in the world.

Its so cool that yr 6's are back!

Now I've heard so much about it I just wanna to have our yr 6 camp!

Started school here in 1948 as far as I remember Miss Ladd was my first teacher, miss or Mrs simpson was the head teacher, of the infants, moved up to the Senior side 1954 Mr Shapley was the head master, Mr Bill Lewis was the maths teacher, he also took us for gardening, the school gardens were behind the alms houses Mr Reg Tilley was the music teacher. I'm now 62 years old living in Swindon. My Dad Mr Reg Kiddle Still lives in wincanton.
